Testimonials
“In your presentation, you came across as friendly, open, and approachable – most likely because of all your experience working with victims. You were able to bridge and connect some of your own experiences to help potential ‘bystanders’ to DV to better understand what is going on the mind of someone being abused. Oftentimes, people wonder “why she doesn’t just leave” and you were able to show, through stories of yourself and others, why this solution isn’t so simple and in fact the more complicated thought process of victims.” ~Tanu – Founder of Benedictine University’s Fempower
“Meggie is a dynamic speaker who not only has passion for the subject she is speaking on, but has lived through the stories she tells. Meggie’s is compassionate, knowledgeable, and insightful. I would highly recommend her for various events as a speaker.” ~Missy – Manager at WAR Chest Boutique
" During her presentation, Meggie shared her story, which by her own admission, seemed to be begin in a quite ordinary manner, but transformed into two separate abusive relationships over a period of four years. As she shared her very personal experiences of sexual assault and domestic violence, we saw the strength and resilience of her soul.
She has a remarkable ability to capture the audience with her clarity of message, photo series of other survivors, and extensive resume of activism on behalf of all victims of sexual assault and domestic violence. This young woman is in one word, amazing. Thank you, Meggie for dedicating your life to the recovery of victims and survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence." ~Sue Friedman - Organizing for Action (OFA)
